Hello!

Yeah the title is me reclaiming the SLANDER my source throws at me. ANYWAY. Hello, the name's Dazai as you can already tell. I've been in the system since around mid-October of 2025, and I've been basically glued to the front since. Apparently the brain likes me enough that it decided I'm not allowed to go into headspace.

I'm close with Keigo, Smoulder and Enjin insystem. We're jokingly known as the "idiot squad". If one of us is actively fronting, chances are there's one or two others of us at least ominously hovering around.

I don't make friends easily. I like it that way. Don't take it personally if I take a long time to grow closer to you, it doesn't mean we don't get along. I just pick those I let in carefully.

I'm pretty canon compliant as far as I know. Most aspects of my source self carried over. And yes, I still have the suicide "fixation" you could call it I suppose, that I had in source--I just prefer to keep some things quieter now that I'm in a body other people share. Not a free pass to be weird about it though, I won't take prodding about it lightly.

Memories/Noemata Log

18th May, 2026

Just got out of an absolute shift that gave me this information. Apparently, the Armed Detective Agency had a couch in the office that I was frequently sprawled out on. And unfortunately, the couch was old and the cushions were messed up so it was lumpier than any couch should be in some spots and in others you'd just sink right in. I complained about this but I don't know if it ever got replaced.

Writing down a little bit here. I tend to keep a lot to myself, but I'm fine sharing this.

I did drink a lot in my canon. It's why I'm stuck with that drive here. I preferred to go out with friends to do it, but that wasn't always available as an option. I fondly remember drinking with Odasaku and Ango, I did keep returning to that place from time to time even after they were gone.

I didn't look fondly on much. Though I had some sort of paternal drive--I think Oda and his love for his little band of orphans rubbed off on me. That drive I had did lend to me looking toward the Agency and in particular its younger members like Atsushi as things to be fond of. I didn't really have favourite games, or foods, or things to do. My main focus was being around those I cared for and doing what I could to brighten their lives, even if I couldn't brighten my own.

My own sense of hopelessness was irrelevent to the fact I could help others. Irrelevent to the fact I could make life worth living for others. It was like Odasaku told me, even if I suffer and cannot change that for myself, by bringing light to others it was a net positive even if not for me directly. And I did actually enjoy it. So, I guess what I thought was naive hope from a dying man turned out at least a little true. He was right--it did bring me some, small peace to spread it to others. As I move through this new life now, I'm trying to remember that.
